Software reliability evaluation is critical for the decision making on the development process.Usually non-homogenous Poisson process is adopted for the associated fault detection process modeling.A comprehensive review on the application of NHPP is conducted, with focus on the recent progress on this research topic.The application is illustrated with practical software projects data.
