The mechanical recycling of plastic waste results in an increasing amount of recycled polymeric materials available for development of new products.However,the use of recycled materials for high-grade applications such as food contact application and pharmaceutical package is limited.Compared with virgin plastics,postconsumer recycled plastics are usually cheaper so that it is considerably attractive to adulterate high-value products with less expensive recycled resins.In order to ensure safety,a specific analytical method is demanded to identify the adulteration.
