The good mechanical properties of the thermotropic liquid-crystalline polyarylate (TLCP) fiber are generally obtained by solid phase polymerization of the as-spun fiber.In this work,we analyzed the macro-kinetics of the solid phase polymerization of the as-spun TLCP fiber.The results showed that the weight loss rate of the fiber increased rapidly in the initial stage and then became slower in the later stage of the heat treatment.
