Durability is always admitted as a critical issue for reinforced concrete structures.Usually,thickness of concrete protective layer is the major consideration in engineering practice for designers regarding the corrosion ofrebar though there is no widely accepted rule for the proper value.Nowadays most researchers focus on the mechanism of corrosion,diffusion within concrete and the process of diffusion.The available experimental data for assessment is the base of durability assessment of reinforced concrete structures.
