　　Genes are a major influence on Cognitive impairment and Longevity.In order for a person to live long it is preferable to have inherited genes that do not have a high risk for predisposition to debilitating chronic progressive diseases.Our studies in persons who lived in their mid 90s has allowed us to state the hypothesis that persons born with normal genes have a higher probability of living longer.
