To investigate the effect of guide electrodes attached to the brain on the behavior, EEG and C-fos, C-jun expression of hippocampus in rats with seizure induced by penicillin . Experimental animals were randomly divided into three groups, each of six, respectively epileptogenic group (hippocampus microinjection of penicillin preparation epileptic seizure model), EEG group (epileptogenic lesions into the guide electrode and then connected with autologous brain muscle tissue ) And control group (the brain into the lead electrode, not epilepsy). The changes of behavior and EEG in each group were observed and the expressions of C-fos and C-jun in hippocampus were detected by immunohistochemistry. The number of epileptic seizures was not significantly different in epileptogenic group and EEG group. The number of EEG discharges in EEG group was significantly lower than that in epilepsy group (P <0.05), and the electroencephalogram The expressions of C-fos and C-jun in the CA3 and CA1 areas of the lateral hippocampus were significantly lower than those in the epileptogenic group (P <0.05). This experiment confirmed that autologous transcortical mode, the introduction of lead electrodes reduce the number of epileptic seizures in rats, down-induced epileptic rat hippocampus C-fos, C-jun expression.
