Nagasaku Museum is a Hanjongjuku school in Suwon-jin Village, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It has a great influence on the area. Using the museum data, we can make a glimpse of the life of Japanese villagers during the Sino-Japanese War. From this perspective, we can get some impressions: During the Sino-Japanese War of 1894, the conscription system had closely linked the village with the state machine; the upper middle class received news of the war mainly from newspapers and magazines, The propaganda of war can be accepted through more popular slides and exhibitions. Under the encouragement of the upper strata, the villagers actively support the war, the fever of the war and their contempt for China have gained popular support. The foreign war not only strengthened the “nationality” Awareness, but also stimulate the national glory of the local consciousness of the area.
