Teacher preferences about pay for performance(PFP) influence whether the education reform will succeed in China.The related studies have disputes on the teacher preference about PFP and influencing factors.Combining with the results from the related studies as well as characteristics of PFP for teacher in China,in terms of sorting effect of PFP, the article puts forward the analysis frame of teacher preferences about PFP and comprehensive influencing factors.The article stresses that teachers attitude to PFP in China based on the perspective of sorting effects should be discussed both the global and specific type of teacher PFP.
