Background The therapeutic efficiency of bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMNCs) autologous transplantation for myocardial infarction (MI) remains low.Here we developed a novel strategy to improve cardiac repair by preconditioning BMMNCs via angiotensin Ⅱ type 2 receptor (AT2R) stimulation.
