　　Metal on metal resurfacing hip arthroplasties had been very popular to use in the last 10 years throughout the world.There are many advantages in metal on metal bearing surfaces.Major advantages include lower volumetric wear rate in comparison to conventional metal on polyethylene bearings , bone preservation , stress transfer, easy fabricability, high fracture toughness and reduce the rate of postoperative instability.
