　　Curcumin has been proposed for treatment of various neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative conditions, including post-traumatic inflammatory response of Central Nervous System (CNS) injury.The objective of this study was to assess the effects of curcumin on RANTES and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) mRNA expression in an in vivo model of CNS injury and in an in vitro culture model of astrocyte reactivation.Pregnant female SD rats and neonatal rats were used for primary culture of cortical neurons and astrocytes.
