A biological neural system is complicated and efficient. There is a great deal of current interest in how neural systems, both artificial and natural, to perform complex signal processing functions.Fox example, in natural environments, airborne stimuli is distributed unpredictably in time and space. The olfactory systems should be able to detect potential signals of interest within these chemically noisy environments, correctly extract these signals from a complex and changing odor background to form stimulus representations. The artificial olfactory neural network is a kind of model derived from a biological neural system to contribute to these processes in particular ways.
