　　Estrogen has been suggested to play a role in the occurrence and development of papillary thyroid cancer(PTC).The balance and the ratio between ERα and ERβ protein are crucial in determining the effect of estrogen on target tissues and cells.PES1,a BRCT domain-containing protein,has been shown to play a role in modulating the balance and the ratio between ERα and ERβ protein,which is associated with the occurrence and development of breast and ovarian cancer.
