The use of ionic liquids(ILs) in industrial processes is slowly increasing and much effort is put into inventing and developing novel industrial applications.The environmental aspects of the processes cannot be overlooked and therefore we have developed a capillary electrophoresis(CE) methodology for studying the impact of ILs on the interactions of some common wastewater pollutants with biomimicking membranes i.e.liposomes.
