Endophytic actinomycetes associated with plants are likely to promote plant growth and protect them from pathogens.The purpose of this study is to search and identify new endophytic actinomycetes from Thai agricultural important plants.A novel strain GMKU 367T was isolated from surface-sterilized roots of Thai glutinous rice plant (Oryza sativa L.cv.RD6) [1].An almost-complete 16S rRNA gene sequence (1444 bp) of strain GMKU 367T was compared with those of 16S rRNA genes available in the GenBank database.
