Here we report an analysis of the repetitive component of peanuts A genome using BAC clones from A.duranensis, peanuts most probable A genome donor.Analyses were done using fluorescent in situ hybridization and sequencing and characterization of 12 genomic regions covering 1.25 Mbp.Two A genome regions were also compared to their B genome homeologs for the analysis of the evolutionary dynamics.
