A novel solution approach was reported to fabricate hierarchical anatase TiO2 nanotubes on transparent conductive oxide substrate via a self-templated approach.Time dependent trails revealed that the shape evolution involved a one-step chemical conversion from anatase TiO2 nanowires to hierarchical TiO2 nanotubes.
