Thermal maturity has a significant impact upon hydrocarbon generation and storage capacity within shales,but explicit and quantitative characterization of such an impact on continental shales is still scarce.To better understand how and how much thermal maturation affect the organic and inorganic changes of the continental shale reservoirs,hydrous pyrolysis was performed to simulate the shale maturation process.
