Capillary flow technology is a proprietary technology for Gas Chromatograph (GC) flow manipulation inside the oven.In this paper, a gas chromatography / mass spectrometer (GC/MS) system using capillary flow technology is employed to perform the pesticide analysis of food matrix.In detail, a 3-way capillary flow splitter is added to the end of the column.The column effluent could then be proportionally splitted into multiple detectors, for example, GC detectors and a mass spectrometer.In this system configuration, the multi-signal detection provides up to 4 signals: full-scan data for library searching, selective ion.monitoring (SIM) data for trace analysis, micro-electron capture detector (μECD) and flame photometric detector (FPD) data for excellent selectivity and sensitivity in analyzing compounds in complex matrices.
