　　Joumine reservoir, located in the north of Tunisia, is one of the most important reservoir that provides water for drinking and agriculture use. However the intense sedimentation caused the loss of about 1% of its storagecapacity every year. This problem is directly related to the soil erosion that affect the catchment area (416 km2).
