　　The variation coefficient of friction with load and sliding velocity of free cutting steel Y15 with TiN, TiCN,AlTiCrN coating,bath nitriding was studied comparatively on a SRVⅣoscillating friction and wear tester. Under the test conditions, the coating samples has more lower friction coefficient; TiCN coating has the lowest friction coefficient, Followed by AlTiCrN coating and TiN coating.
