The Earth acts a tidal force on the Moon to rotate the Moon synchronously, where the tidal force induce a torque to make a synchronous spin of the Moon with the orbital motion.There should be a reaction torque on the Earth, of which magnitude and direction are the same as them of the torque, which is analogous to Newtons third law in the linear motion.
