　　this paper researches on the cultural difference in nonverbal communication, which is a kind of tool for exchange and communication, between Chinese and western teachers in class.In this paper, the definition, characteristics and efficacy of nonverbal communication is referred as research theory, and the application of in the background of classroom usage is also referred to.On the basis of this theory, the paper mainly analyzes and discusses the cultural differences which are embodied in nonverbal communication in the classroom by teachers of Chinese and Westem countries.Through the research, author point out that different cultural background would restrict the nonverbal communication of the different expressions in the classroom context.Therefore, in order to achieve good teachings results and improve the quality of teaching, for the teachers of Chinese and Western countries different teachers they can choose different ways of nonverbal communication.And during the application, the principles of seeking common ground while reserving differences and learning from others strong points to offset ones weaknesses should be used.
