Heparin has been clinically used as the anticoagulant drug for a long time,and the sulfation degree of heparin is strongly associated to its bioactivity.However,the sulfate ester groups of heparin and their derivatives are labile and can be easily hydrolyzed to yield free inorganic sulfate ions during the process of preparation and storage.
