  Objectives:To investigate the role of lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase 5 (LPAT5)acted in the oil accumulation progressin seed.Methods:RT-PCR was performed to cloneBnLPAT5 gene in B.napusdeveloping seeds which was collected 40 days after flowering.Real-time PCR was performed to investigate the expression of BnLPAT5 gene in various organs.Subcellular location detection was performed in N.Tabacum mesophyll cell and Arabidopsis mesophyll protoplastssubsequently.Toevaluate the role of BnLPAT5 acted in the oil accumulation progress,a binary plant expression vector was constructed and transformed into Arabidopsis.Theseed oil contents and fatty acid composition of T3 generation were detected by GC-MS.
