In this talk we will discuss close relationships among different areas in analysis such as approximation theory,harmonic analysis,wavelet analysis,and partial differential equations.In particular,we will demonstrate that quasi-interpolant operators from approximation theory can be used to solve some substantial problems in harmonic analysis and numerical partial differential equations.
