　　The presentation discusses the use of state-of-the art technologies in heritage documentation based on experiences gained while documenting heritage sites for the African Cultural Heritage Sites and Landscapes database.The advantages and shortcoming of terrestrial laser scanning and Structure-from-Motion methods as applied to 3D modelling are briefly explored and the combination of these data types and other technologies in Virtual Tours of heritage sites is discussed.
