　　Background: recently, several studies have focused on the relationship between awl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) gene polymorphism (rs2066853) and idiopathic male infertility but got inconsistent results.So we conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess their association.Method: related papers until 2017/3/29 are searched on Pubmed, Web of Science and the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases.Total of 6 studies, including 1299 cases and 1752 controls, are applied to statistical analysis with STATA version 12.We use odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (95%Cis) to evaluate the risk of AHR gene polymorphism in allele, heterozygote, dominant and recessive models.Statistical heterogeneity is eliminated by sub-group analysis.Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines are followed.
