BiFeO3 is a multiferroic material with antiferromagnetic and ferroelectric transition temperatures well above the room temperature.The spin structure is a G-type one with a superimposed cycloidal modulation with a long periodicity of 62 nm,essentially the same as those of TbMnO3 and related compounds where ferroelectricity owing to inverse Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions are observed.
