Gastric cancer is approximately 10% of the total incidence rate of invasive cancer worldwide and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths.Despite of its declining incidence, gastric cancerremains a common malignancy worldwide, especially in Asia.Peritoneal metastasis is not only the most common non-curative factor at the time of diagnosis but also the most frequent recurrence pattern even after a curative surgical resection in patients with advanced gastric cancer.
