Limestones from 7 different geological places are calcined and sulphurized in a tubular reactor.The calcined powders are characterized before and after the sulphurization step.The results show that the carbonation reaction also occurs in the sulphurization reactor due to the presence of 10％ v/v CO2 in the simulated gas.7 lime powders can be classified into 3 groups according to their sulphurization and carbonation behavior.
