Adding non-caking coals in coking coals is one of the research direction to reply coal resources shortage.It is difficult because the non-caking coals have special structure and properties.High volatile no-caking coal,long-flame coal,was researched on the micro and macro technical characteristics,coal blending mechanism,and replacing coal.The result indicate that the difficult come form the coal characteristics with low ash,low sulfur content,high moisture,high volatile and no caking specialty.It is foundation that the similarity of long-flame coal and gas coal in the structure characteristics and the pyrolysis characteristics.It is possible that use non-caking coals instead of gas coal in coal blending.The result also indicate that the effect on the bonding properties of blending coal is different from the ordinary law which anticipation with the coking coal.Coke quality gradually decline with increaseing the ratio of long-flame coal.To ensure the quality of coke.the proper proportion of long-flame coal is necessary.The production was put in practice in the 6 m coke oven for two years,which indicate that the coke quality can keep stabilization if only 3% the long flame coal adding in blending coal.
