Plant evolutionary biologists have long attempted to reconstruct angiosperm evolutionary history,especially to determine the root of angiosperms.Until recently,it has been hypothesized the first extant angiosperms have been focused on water lilies,and Amborella.However,which one is the exact earliest angiosperms remains largely controversy.Here we report the whole genome biology of a tropical ornamental water lily Nymphaea colorata.
