Background Diffuse Calcified coronary lesions are still one of the challenging coronary artery ,despite the advances in percutaneous coronary artery intervention (PCI) devices and techniques.RA is a useful niche device for such complex lesions, but long term outcome is poor when it is used as a standalone therapy or combined with bare metal stents.DES have reduced rates of restenosis in a wide range of patient and lesion subsets, but little information is available on long term clinical outcome when RA is followed by long DES implantation (Rota-DES) in diffuse calcified lesions.
