　　Synopsis Radiative double-electron capture (RDEC), occurring when two electrons are captured to a highlycharged projectile with the simultaneous emission of a photon, can be treated as the time-reversed process of double photoionization.X rays emitted from incident fully-stripped fluorine and associated with double-electron capture from carbon have been measured and compared with recent work for O8+ ions.
