The euryhaline fish,the spotted scat Scatophagusargus,is a useful model of osmoregulation.To better und erstandfishosmoregulation and enable more precise analyses of specific features of fish adaptive responses to acute osmotic stress,a spotted scat kidney-derivedcell line(SK)was developed and subcultured for more than 70 passages.
