With recent outbreaks of fatal strain diseases, there is a pressing demand to discover novel new antimicrobial agents which can effectively reduce or avoid the infections of pathogenic bacteria.Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) may be excellent candidates for antimicrobial agents because tunability of their structures and properties. In this paper, we present the coordination-driven self-assembly of multi-dimensional silver-based MOFs with multinuclear silver-cluster and rod-shaped building blocks.
