why the price of Block trading is often at a discount?Is it just caused by liquidity? This paper establishes a theoretical model and gives an empirical answer.The idiosyncratic risks of the traded stock cause an asymmetric information,so the trading seller pay a risk premium to the buyer,which making the trading price relative to the market price be some discount.As the changes of idiosyncratic risk,the degree of the discount in corresponding change,which is a kind of block trading pricing theory.
