Salix suchowensis belongs to Salix, as a unique shrub species in China which has small body size compared to other tree species. The genetic study of willow was limited by superficial research background on molecular biology.SSRs (simple sequence repeats), also called microsatellites, is one of DNA sequences whose core region is constructed by repeated nucleotides.Since SSRs are the most rapidly changing sequence rather than other regions in the whole genome, they provide numerous polymorphism and great potential for Willow genetic studies. We detected Salix suchowensis whole genomic SSRs by using MISA and analysis the characteristics.
