@@ The research of Specific Language Impairment (SLI) on some western languages like English, German and French has brought lots of research outcomes (Bishop, 1994; Clarke and Leonard, 1996; van der Lely, 1996; Borer and Wexler, 1992 et al.). However, few systematic studies on SLI have been conducted in languages like Mandarin Chinese, which lack distinct morphological changes. This research attempts to describe the grammatical features of passive structures of Mandarin-speaking children with SLI. Previous studies on passive acquisition by Mandarin-speaking children focus on production, as well as the age of uttering passive structures (Li Xianglong, Zhou Guoguang and Kong Lingda, 1992).
