According to Psychological Distance Theory (PDT) and Construal Level Theory (CLT),different kinds of distance,such as temporal distance,spatial distance and social distance,may share a common,interchangeable meaning for intertemporal choice,which means different distances could be substitutable for each other,and integrated into a unique psychological distance.Therefore,the further the psychological distance is,the more likely the larger-later options (LL) are to be preferred.Many studies have been conducted to verify the similar effects of temporal and social distances on intertemporal choices,but few concerning spatial distance.
