Design:In Lenke type Ⅰ adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) under anterior instrumentation,the thoracic aorta moved anteromedially toward vertebrae and safe area for vertebral screw placement increased.Factors respond for it including aorta releasing,vertebral derotation and curve correction.Objective:To quantify the changes in spatial anatomical relationship between vertebrae and thoracic aorta in Lenke type 1 AIS following anterior or posterior instrumentation and to identify the factors responing for it.
