　　Th was used as a tracer to investigate scavenging and particle export in the upper ocean in the Bering Sea,Chukchi Sea and Canada abyssal plain during the 2 nd Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition (CHINARE-2003 1999.7 ~ 9).Both dissolved and particle 234 Th samples were all chemically separated,enriched and measured immediately after sampled.The dissolved samples were finished in 4 days generally.Total 234 Th samples (both dissolved and particle 234 Th) were finished in 8 days.
