Polymers are used widely in all sectors of modem societydue to their inherent high perfomumce properties such as lightweight and corrosion resistance. Southern China has become aworld hub of manufacturing. This is particularly true for polymer processing. However,the polymer processing industries in China face problems of low energy-efficiency and relatively low productive.These problems may be attributedto the lack of innovations,particularly in process and systemlevel. With the above background,Center for Polymer Processing and Systems (CPPS)of f-IICUST Fok Ying TongGraduate School is established with the mission to work withthe industries to meet the challenges and to solve theseproblems educating and training research engineers and leaders of the industries.
