加拿大宪政制度的发展大致经历了三个时期:新法兰西时期、英属北美时期和加拿大联邦时期。其中,英国的宪政制度对今天加拿大影响很大,而新法兰西时期的宪政制度则影响较小。加拿大从英国手中收回立宪权和修宪权经历了漫长的时期,加拿大通过和平、渐进、协商妥协的方式最终获得了完整的立宪权和修宪权。由于魁北克问题的存在,加拿大经历了多次宪法危机,而且这种危机仍将持续下去。
The development of Canadian constitutional system has gone through roughly three periods: the period of New France, British North America and Canada. Among them, the constitutional system in Great Britain had a great impact on Canada today, while the constitutional system in New France had less influence. After a long period of Canada’s constitutional and constitutional restoration of power from the United Kingdom, Canada finally gained complete constitutional and constitutional amendments through peaceful, gradual and consultative compromise. Due to the Québec issue, Canada has experienced many constitutional crises and the crisis will continue.
