Laser range-gated active imaging technology can largely suppress interference from back-scattering of the atmosphere and ambient light,to obtain high-resolution and high-contrast images.This paper describes the principle of laser range-gated active imaging,and analyzes the laser energy distribution inthe atmospheric transmission,as well as intensity and signal to noise ratio Of range-gated images by using the Mie theory.
