  We discuss the formation and the time development of large-scale structures in forced two-dimensional turbulence on a rotating sphere.A multiple zonal-band structure emerges at an early stage of time integration,then enters quasi-steady state,showing little energy increase with nearly steady spectral component distribution of the flow.
