How does a fungus, react to environmental conditions, especially to light and how can we use such adjustments to improve biotechnological processes? Our investigation on the interrelationship of enzyme production and metabolism with light response and light dependent development in Trichoderma reesei revealed an intriguing regulatory network for adapting to a changing environment.
