　　The power frequency electric field level beneath an overhead power line has been restricted at 3 kV/m in Japan since 1970s.However,there has been no limit of the power frequency magnetic field emission and/or exposure level with respect to electric power facilities.In response to health risk assessment activity directed by the World Health Organization (WHO),the Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) convened a Working Group (WG) in April 2007,which provided the METI with policy recommendations on the risk management of ELF-EMF exposure emitted from electric power facilities.
