A crystallization model including multistage steps was proposed by Strobl1,an intermediate phase of mesomorphic character participated in the formation of crystallites,which was different from the conventional one that supposed a direct attachment of chain sequences from the melt onto the growth face2,3.Whereas,another law was assumed to guide the stress-induced crystallization in the stretching process:a direct growth from the localized oriented melt into the crystalline phase was suggested.The first observation was reported in stretched Polybutene-1.
